The club were saddened to hear of the death of one of our greatest ever swimmers, Eleanor Stewart, due to skin cancer in January of this year.

Eleanor was club champion during the 1960’s and was also the  British and Scottish record record holder during this time, she represented Great Britain on various occasions and also Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Kingston Jamaica.

She emigrated to Australia in 1967 and was also the coach of the Australian National Team for a period of time.
